I came up with quite similar setup: Proxxon 23783 2-in-1 bit and socket extension (711l have almost identical product, but it's much pricier to ship it to Poland, where I live) and Cal-Van Tools 108 finger ratchet. Fun fact: you can actually use Cal-Van Tools 108 ratchet with Powerpint (and probably other SOG multitools with similar bit adapters), even without any extension.

This is a nice video, but everything about it just reinforces why I don't use my Leatherman anymore. I have three Leatherman's and have not used any of them in the past two years. I use my Leatherman extension with my Wiha bits, in my bike kit, otherwise nada.

I tell you. If a company makes the leap to design a 1/4 in line bit driver. They will make a mint. Drives me nuts that leatherman is the only game in town. I find it hard to believe no one has done it yet.

The amount of counterfeit tools and knives is getting ridiculous. What’s more is now I see it on eBay, Etsy, FB marketplace, even some UA-cam channels have given bad reviews of knives not knowing they were using a counterfeit. If a tool or knife normally goes for $60-$90$ and it’s listed as $10-$20 brand new? Probably a fake. eBay in particular is getting really bad now, every time I open it up to skim over what people are selling/buying, I see Chinese fakes everywhere. Zero shame like you said, the bastards even have the nerve to stamp USA on it.

Leatherman t4 is my preferred carry when I'm rocking basketball shorts. Quality over quantity, also not a huge fan of bit drivers on multitool

I just want to substitute the awl on the surge for an eyeglass screwdriver. And no I don't want an eyeglass screwdriver adapter for the bit driver. I want it as part of the multitool itself, the way it originally was.

Bought one of the knockoffs for my Mudman, after I watched one of your videos. Quality is decent, honestly the best watch band for me. Regular bands accumulate dust and sweat, and my wrist starts smelling like a sewer rat after awhile. Every once in a awhile I will have a screw back out and fall off, but not really a big deal.

Is the quality same than in original Leatherman?

Roxon must be having quality control issues. I bought one and when I received it the plier pivot was so loose I had to tighten it so it wouldn't fall apart. I had to force the nail clippers out. Also, the first time I used the nail file on the outside of the tool it fell off. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone.

Late to the game here, but if that Leatherman Micra hasn't been really abused then they have come down a long ways since I bought the 5 or 6 I have purchased in the last couple decades. Mine always cut very well, and I actually used them for terminating hundreds of ethernat cables, cutting 24 gauge copper wire. I never had trouble cutting paracord either. If that is a fair representation of a current $50 Micra it is a great disappointment. However I would never pay $50 for a Micra anyway, so if I lose the ones I currently have I guess it is eBay or nothing for a replacement.

The MUT punch and long torx are for AR-15 disassembly not C4 . It's best to learn a bit more about the tool before you review it....

Maybe i miss you saying it but as far as one hand opening the mut does have the knife blade that opens one handed as to the pilers on the Gerber.

I have SOG PowerLitre for about 1 year now. It's compact size is good for EDC. At some time, I want to cut off the cork twister but nvm. But the locking mechanism (small black teeth) helps to lock scree hex bit and keep it locked in pocket. I wish it has bigger knife. Usually I just use the knife, scissors and pliers. I hope SOG can make it smaller by having only plier, bigger scissors, bigger knife, screw hex bit holder, ...arghh looks like better just buy Swiss Army for much smaller size

Yes.! All multitool should be fun to use & of course functional. Ours fidget like mad & it also beep when extra tension is applied. Keep those ideas coming matey. 😊

Carried one for a few years, was a good tool. Now I just carry a full sized tool instead. st300 for work and charge ti for goin’ out lol leatherman should just change the pivots to screw pivots so they can just change your broken part instead of giving you a whole new one.

What tool would you recommend with a similar amount of functionality, but with a bigger blade? I use my blade a lot.

Fav the NEXTOOL E1… it’s lightweight and fits the pocket comfortably…you barely notice it’s there…as far as opening the tools… you figure it out when you EDC it everyday…it’s not a biggie and I’m not in a rush to deploy the tools.

When I got the PP I was also considering the Mini Sailor. The PP is awesome for its size - I have 2 gripes though - one of the lock 'springs' snapped off, and the 1/4" driver unless its less than a moderately tight screw there is now way to hold the PP tight enough to prevent the bit from slipping in the jaws... The only change I'd like to see on it is a fine saw blade instead of the serrated knife blade. Its a regular carry - and gets used.

Got one. Perfect companion for one of the smaller Victorinox for extremely light EDC. HOWEVER. The pliers were hard as hell at first, I needed to FORCE them open with another tool and close them many times before it became "acceptable" and I could open it without a 3rd party tool. This is not OK. There should be some locking mecanism to allow for easy opening of the pliers. I understand it's no Leatherman, but still... don't expect any functionality out if it until you "season" it

I love the fastback 1505, as a matter of fact that's the multi tool that got me into multitools lol. Just needed a pair of scissors and pliers.That then took me down a very deep and expensive rabbit hole that I am still trying to perfect 4 years later lol.

If they bring it back, make a TSA compliant version without the knife blade.

The ES4 was my first legit EDC tool besides a swiss army knife. Mine broke in 2023 and they sent me a last replacement. I sold it and bought a used one theyre worth so much now.

I believe that if send in a squirt to leatherman for repairs, they will replace it with a mirca.
